The NBA is most exciting when young stars are budding across the league. The talent pool is ridiculous in the Association. Some players are just waiting to sprout into the player they have the potential to be. It is best to take this subject by division since I want to pick a breakout player for every team. The Atlantic Division is first and consists of the Celtics, Nets, Knicks, 76ers, and Raptors. This division has some of the most competitive teams in basketball... and the Knicks, sorry Stephan A. Smith. Being on great teams makes being a breakout player difficult due to a lack of opportunity. But I see the potential in each of these teams to bring new players into the media's scope.

Caris LeVert is another player that had an impressive bubble performance. Kyrie and Kevin Durant will steal the show this season. But Caris will emerge as a suitable third star if he doesn't get dealt. LeVert has always been a great scorer and has some notoriety in the league as such. But the improvements he showed off in the playoffs is what he'll need to take the next step. His passing was incredible, averaging 9.5 assists. This is a massive leap from the 3.6 assists per game for his career.
I do not expect this number to continue, but considering Kyrie and Durant are not natural distributors, this ability will allow him to play alongside them. His unselfishness fits with Durant perfectly as he loves good ball-movement from his teammates. This skill-set to go along with his prolific scoring will come together and make him the perfect third option on a contending team. The Nets have never gotten attention like they will this season, so if you were not aware of this kid before, be ready to acquaint yourself with Caris LeVert.
